This information helps when reporting an error
The most helpful information is the exact step at which something happens differently than expected. For example: “When splitting a five-page PDF, I entered 1-3. After I click start, the following error message appears …”
- Name or page path of the tool you used.
- Device, operating system and browser with version number.
- The steps you took and the settings you chose; for calculators, also the values and units you entered.
- The expected result, the actual behavior and the exact wording of any error message.
- For a file problem: file type, approximate size and page count. If applicable, mention password protection, digital signatures or form fields.
A description is enough to start with
Please do not include a PDF, Word file or confidential document content in your first message. The steps, settings and error message are often enough to help. If an example is needed later, a file created specifically for this purpose with made-up details is more suitable than a certificate, contract or tax receipt.
Also check screenshots for personal data, login credentials and confidential file names. The contact form does not support file attachments.
Find the right help directly
File limits and supported features lists the rules for the tools. How it works explains selecting, editing and saving. If a successfully processed PDF barely gets smaller, the guide PDF won't get smaller can help.
If you have a suggestion for improvement, it's best to describe your task and the step that could be simplified. That makes it clear how a change would help.
Messages and responses
You can write directly to support@pdfkomprimieren.com or use the form. The form doesn't send anything itself: it prepares an email draft in your browser. You open the draft in your own email app or webmail, review it and send it from there yourself.
The website receives no confirmation of whether your message was sent or delivered. There is currently no fixed response time.
While the draft is only prepared, your details stay in your browser. When you open it, they are passed to the email app or email provider you choose. When you send it, the message and your email address are transmitted via the email services involved. This is a separate process from the local processing of PDF files in the browser. You can find more under Privacy.
